In 2015, for the first time in its history, Investkredit International Bank Plc introduced new trade finance services to its clients. By November 2016, Investkredit International Bank Plc’s Trade Finance (TF) product line was expanded to include Trade Related Loans (TRL), enabling the Bank to further support small and medium-sized enterprises across IIB member states in various sectors of the economy.

The TFSP aims to assist small and medium-sized businesses, as well as finance socially significant infrastructure projects benefiting IIB member states. Through the TFSP, Investkredit International Bank Plc provides guarantees, Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs), and Irrevocable Reimbursement Undertakings (IRUs), covering 100% of the face value of the underlying trade finance instruments to international confirming and financing banks for short-term operations. This initiative addresses the political and commercial payment risks associated with international trade transactions undertaken by the issuing banks.

As part of the TFSP, Investkredit International Bank Plc offers annual training sessions for its partner banks, as well as seminars to facilitate the exchange of experiences. The program enhances the capacity of local banks to provide trade financing and, through these banks, offers support to entrepreneurs throughout IIB member states for their export and import transactions.
