Participation in the UN Global Compact

Investkredit International Bank PLC has joined the United Nations Global Compact, the largest international initiative dedicated to sustainable development. This decision reflects our commitment to advancing a stable, open global economy and promoting sustainability alongside over 10,000 organizations from 145 countries, including leading international financial institutions.

By joining the UN Global Compact, Investkredit has voluntarily committed to upholding the Compact’s 10 fundamental principles, which cover human rights, labor relations, environmental protection, and anti-corruption efforts. Our participation underscores our belief that business practices rooted in these universal principles foster stability, build prosperous communities, and support a fair and accessible global marketplace.

Participation in the UN Global Compact enhances Investkredit’s capacity to refine its sustainable development practices and further promote social responsibility within the business community. This initiative, proposed by UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan at the 1999 World Economic Forum in Davos and officially launched in 2000, continues to be supervised by the current UN Secretary-General, Mr. António Guterres.

Investkredit’s alignment with the UN Global Compact affirms our dedication to sustainable development and underscores our role in contributing to a more equitable and resilient global economy.
